Shuttle Driver/Shop Helper

Purpose & Objective

Our Shuttle Driver/Shop Helper plays a key role in keeping our day running smoothly and ensuring customers feel taken care of every step of the way. This hybrid role combines customer transportation with light shop support. You’ll be the friendly face customers meet when they need a ride and the extra set of hands that helps keep our shop clean, organized, and operating efficiently.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

SHUTTLE DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safely operate shuttle vehicles to transport customers and employees between designated locations, providing courteous and professional customer service.
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance tasks on shuttle vehicles, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure.
  • Coordinate with service advisors to pick up and drop off stock parts.
  • Vacuum and clean shop’s vehicles (shuttle and loaners).
  • Perform light quality control duties – road test completed vehicles.

SHOP HELPER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Checking in and putting away stock parts orders.
  • Perform some lawn care during warm months and light snow removal during colder months.
  • Perform cleaning tasks throughout the service center, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
  • Monitor and replenish shop supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
  • Assist with minor maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, etc.
  • Report any maintenance and/or repair needed in the shop to the manager.

Must possess the following Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Customer service or shuttle driving experience.
  • Commercial driving experience preferred.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to manage time well.
  • Positive, team‐oriented attitude.
  • Comfortable driving in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
